SevaCart is built so every devotee — regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology — can offer a seva with dignity.
Commitment to WCAG 2.1 AA
SevaCart aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Level AA across all customer-facing surfaces. We treat accessibility as a design constraint, not a remediation task — every new component is built with semantic HTML, visible focus, keyboard reachability, and adequate colour contrast from the first commit.
Current conformance: partial
SevaCart is currently in partial conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA. We are under continuous improvement: monthly automated audits (axe-core, Lighthouse) plus quarterly manual audits with screen-reader users surface regressions and gaps, and each is tracked publicly in our accessibility backlog until closed.
Compatible assistive technologies
SevaCart is tested with and known to work on:
- VoiceOver on iOS (Safari)
- TalkBack on Android (Chrome)
- NVDA on Windows (Firefox & Chrome)
- JAWS on Windows (Chrome & Edge)
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, the following areas may not yet meet WCAG 2.1 AA in full:
- Legacy admin pages— internal partner and operator dashboards predate our current design system and are being migrated to accessible primitives.
- Third-party embeds— payment gateway iframes, certain map/streaming widgets, and embedded social content inherit their own accessibility posture, which we cannot fully control.
- Scanned PDFs— a small number of historical compliance documents are image-based; we are progressively replacing them with tagged, text-extractable versions.

If you encounter a barrier — missing alt text, a focus trap, a contrast issue, a keyboard dead-end, or anything else — please tell us. We acknowledge reports within two business days and aim to fix or workaround within ten.
