1. Sevas (ritual offerings)
- Platform fee: ₹10 per seva for sevas up to ₹500; 5% of the seva amount above that. The change is a step, not a taper: a ₹500 seva pays ₹10 and a seva just above ₹500 pays about ₹25, and the percentage only matches the flat fee again around ₹200.
- Payment gateway: absorbed by SevaCart. Cashfree bills us 0% on UPI and ≈2% on cards / netbanking; none of it is added to your bill.
- GST: Not charged today - SevaCart is not yet GST-registered. Once we register, 18% will apply to the platform fee only (the seva fee itself is GST-exempt under Notification 12/2017).
- Dakshina: optional, goes 100% to the officiating priest. SevaCart takes nothing from dakshina.
- Settlement: transferred to the partner institution’s verified bank account after the payment gateway releases the funds.
- Tax invoice: issued by SevaCart (for the platform fee) and by the partner institution (for the seva amount; 80G receipt where applicable).
2. Causes (offerings)
- Platform fee: 0%. SevaCart absorbs the platform cost on charitable contributions.
- Payment gateway: absorbed by SevaCart, as above.
- Settlement: transferred to the institution’s verified bank account after the payment gateway releases the funds.
- 80G receipt: issued directly by the recipient institution once the contribution reaches it.
- Promise: every fee or deduction is itemised before you pay - nothing is ever hidden in the seva amount.

No payment-gateway line is added to your bill. The gateway charge (0% on UPI, ≈2% on cards and netbanking) is billed by Cashfree to SevaCart, and SevaCart absorbs it.
Exact numbers vary based on the seva price and any dakshina you choose to add. The breakdown is line-itemed on every checkout - there are no surprise charges after you click pay.
