How do I offer a seva?

Tap 'Sevas', choose a temple, select the seva you want and add it to cart. Pay with UPI, card or net-banking. You'll receive a confirmation via WhatsApp or SMS.

Where is my seva proof (prasad photo)?

Accepted Answer

Go to My Offerings and tap the seva. The temple uploads a proof photo after performing the offering - you will be notified when it is ready.

Question 3

My offering shows 'Pending' - what does that mean?

Accepted Answer

The temple has up to 24 hours to accept your offering. Once accepted the status changes to 'Confirmed' and you are notified either way.

Question 4

The seva date has passed but no proof was uploaded.

Accepted Answer

If the temple has not uploaded proof within 48 hours of the scheduled date we follow up with the institution. Write to us with your offering reference and we will resolve it.

Question 5

Payment failed but money was deducted from my account?

This reversal happens automatically in 5–7 working days through your bank. If it is not back after 7 days, write to us with your transaction ID and we will follow up with Cashfree.

Question 6

How do I get my receipt or 80G certificate?

Accepted Answer

Your payment receipt is emailed right after payment and is available in My Offerings → tap the seva. Sevas are ritual services and are not 80G-eligible. For a contribution to a cause, an 80G certificate (only where that institution is 80G-registered) is issued by the institution within a few working days.

How long does a refund take?

Once a refund is approved it reaches your account in 5–7 working days via the original payment method. The platform convenience fee is non-refundable per policy.

I am not getting WhatsApp updates for my offerings.

Accepted Answer

Check that 'WhatsApp notifications' is enabled in your Notification Settings. Also save the SevaCart sender number as a contact on WhatsApp so messages are not filtered.

OTP not received - what do I do?

Accepted Answer

Check your spam or junk folder for email OTP. For SMS OTP check network signal and wait 60 seconds, then use Resend. Still not arriving? Switch to email login instead.

Question 10

How do I stop marketing emails or push notifications?

Accepted Answer

Open Notification Settings and turn off 'Marketing' and 'Partner news'. You will still receive seva confirmations, seva updates and critical security alerts.

Question 11

How do I update my name, email or phone number?

Accepted Answer

Go to your Profile page. To change your email or mobile a one-time code is sent to the new address to verify it before the change takes effect.

I cannot log in - what do I do?

Accepted Answer

Try the OTP login option (enter your email or phone and request a one-time code). If you no longer have access to that contact, write to us to recover your account.

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Write to us from the email on your account. We will permanently remove your profile, family details, and address book within 15 days, as required under the IT Rules 2021 / DPDP Act 2023.

How do I change the language or text size?

Open Notification Settings and scroll to the Display Settings section. You can set text size (Standard / Large / X-Large) and your preferred currency display.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Sevas can generally be cancelled before the temple accepts the offering. Once accepted, cancellation follows the temple's policy. Read the full terms for details.
