Yudhishthira · युधिष्ठिर
PandavaBirth - Son of Kunti by mantra-invoked Yama (god of death + dharma).
Feats - Performed Rajasuya yajna (asserting overlordship of Bharatavarsha). Answered Yaksha's 36 questions, restoring his 4 brothers. Never told a deliberate lie until forced to half-truth (Ashwatthama-hata, kunjarah) on the 15th day of war - which dropped his chariot from its hovering height. Coronated emperor after war.
Death - After Krishna's departure, walked north on the Mahaprasthana (the great departure). Reached Mt. Sumeru. Refused to abandon his dog (Yama in disguise) for heaven. Granted physical entry to Svarga.
Lesson - Dharma-raja - even one falsehood corrupts the dharmic. Compassion to the lowliest (the dog) is supreme.
